Maryborough… is a coming-of-age movie about growing up in a small town.
Most teenagers think that Maryborough is a hole they can’t wait to claw their way out of, yet Steph has never had a problem with it. But when her older brother comes home from Uni for her seventeenth birthday, Steph starts to realise that she might be missing out on some interesting life experiences.
Fifteen-year old Nathan can’t stop thinking about girls. Most of his spare time is dedicated to contemplating which girl he should ask out, and how he should go about doing this. Unfortunately for Nathan, one thing he hasn’t considered is the possibility of rejection.
Floundering your way through adolescence is never easy, and Steph and Nathan are about to realise that growing up is about accepting the things you need, and letting go of some things you want.
